A total of 50 Indian and international designers took part in 28 runway presentations and the recent Lulu Fashion Week which also featured an awards ceremony, fashion forum, and live entertainment. The 2019 edition of the fashion week was its largest to date and fourth so far.

The five-day fashion celebration featured brands including including Pepe Jeans, Indian Terrain, Van Heusen, Urban Touch, and Caprese and ran from April 24 to 28. This season, the fashion week was presented by Blackberrys in association with Gap.

Lulu Mall reported to IndiaRetailing that the fashion week caused footfalls in the mall to rise to between 80,000 and 100,000 a day during the fashion week compared to the total of between 65,000 and 80,000 per day in March. The mall also noted that fashion sales greatly increased compared both to regular trading and to sales during last year’s fashion week.

Lulu Fashion Week has run once a year since 2016 and is a chance for Lulu Mall to promote the brands it retails and offer an offline experience to shoppers who are increasingly into online shopping. The fashion week also presents an opportunity for brand launches and this year Lulu Fashion Store launched a new brand named Kashvi which retails Indian traditional wear.
