Levi’s collaborates with Kaneez Surka, Neena Gupta for celebrity campaign

Levi’s has collaborated with 21 female celebrities including Neena Gupta, Kaneez Surka, and Anjali Lama launch an India-specific advertising campaign and the fifth season of its “I Shape My World” campaign.

On International Women’s Day, March 8, Levi’s launched a video exclusive in India to showcase its new brand ambassadors. The 21 participants-come-brand ambassadors in the video include the yoga instructor Natasha Noel, rapper Hard Kaur, actor Swara Bhaskar, activist Gurmehar Kaur, journalist Sandhya Menon, singer Kanchan Daniel, transgender model Anjali Lama, and entrepreneur Malini Agarwal.

The campaign is part of a global initiative running in a number of countries including the US, Thailand, and Vietnam and films from around there world were shown at the brand’s New York location on International Women’s Day. The India video features the 21 women singing and rapping whilst wearing Levi’s jeans and is intended to spread a message of female empowerment. 

Levi’s choice of India as a featured country in its film initiative shows the business’ dedication to growth in the country. The advert features a number of outspoken women as part of a campaign speaking to a young, progressive audience.
