Les Petits plans retail expansion in South and East India
Les Petits plans to expand its brick-and-mortar presence in the South and East of India, where it is seeing strong sales. The multi-brand luxury children’s wear retailer is pursuing omni-channel expansion in the fast growing children’s wear market in India.
“Considering that our brand focuses on luxury offerings, we strategically started by opening our stores in the metro cities of Delhi and Mumbai at premium locations of DLF Emporio and Palladium, respectively,” said Les Petits’ founder and president Swati Saraf, Indian Retailer reported. “It helped us directly reach out to our niche target audience, as the locations portrayed a good footfall for affluent consumers. We constantly evolve our retail strategy with the changing market scenario and ventured into an omni-channel model for expanding our offering to both online and offline consumers.”
Les Petits has held a number of new collection launches this week. On November 30, the brand launched Dolce and Gabbana’s autumn/ winter children’s wear collection across its stores, the brand announced on Facebook.
The brand also aims to continue to expand its children’s focused product selection. Recently, Les Petits partnered with jewellery brand Rajasi Jindal to launch a line of children’s jewellery which retails exclusively in its stores.
Swati Saraf launched Les Petits in 2011 with the aim of offering a multi-brand selection of luxury children’s wear for ages 0 to 14 from brands including Versace, Moschino, and Fendi among others. The brand retails from its stores which include in DLF Emporio in New Delhi and Palladium Mall in Mumbai among others, which also house a selection of accessories and furniture, as well as its e-commerce store.
