The multi-brand eyewear retailer recently committed to investing $50 million in its operations in the Middle East market, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. As part of this investment, the business is expanding its brick-and-mortar presence in the area.

The new store launched with free eye tests for people needing prescription glasses. The store has a number of interactive features including a sun room, a room which mimics the sun’s rays so shoppers can try our sunglasses in the sun.

To celebrate its upcoming store launch, Lenskart had projected its catchphrase ‘Do More, Be More’ on to Ain Dubai, the world’s largest sized observation wheel. Lenskart is focusing on the Middle East market as it is seeing significant growth in the region and describes itself as the fastest-growing eyewear brand in the UAE.

Within our first year of in-country operations, we project that Lenskart will become a market leader in the UAE, with over 15 stores in addition to making rampant strides in the KSA region,” said Lenskart’s CBO for the Middle East, Sudhir Syal, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “As our rampant growth and expansion continue, we will focus on the launch of our merchandise collections created specifically to cater to the local Emirati population.”

Lenskart’s other stores in the UAE are located within Dubai Mall, BurJuman, Dalma Mall, Dubai Festival City, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, and Bawadi Mall. The brand also retails online in the region and is committed to omni-channel expansion in both India and the Middle East.
