Landmark Group names Karan Mehta as Easybuy CEO

Retail business Landmark Group has named Karan Mehta as the new CEO of its value fashion brand Easybuy. In his new role, Mehta will be responsible for spearheading the brand’s next phase of growth.

As Easybuy CEO, Mehta plans to build Easybuy up to be a leading brand of Landmark Group and make it present in every district headquarters in India, the Economic Times reported. Mehta has formidable experience in the Indian retail industry and has worked as the chief operating officer at Pantaloons and held roles at Aditya Birla and at Rivoli Group.  
 
“Karan’s multifaceted experience in his previous assignments will be an added advantage to Easybuy,” said Lifestyle International’s managing director Shital Mehta, ET Retail reported. “His appointment shows our commitment to Easybuy and our confidence in the future of this brand.”

Landmark Group launched Easybuy in 2014 as a mass-market, affordable fashion brand. The brand currently runs over 130 stores and plans to continue to expand its brick-and-mortar retail footprint, according to the brand’s website. Easybuy has its strongest retail presence in the South of India and its turnover has crossed Rs 500 crore. 
 
Landmark Group is based in Dubai and was founded by Micky Jagtiani in 1973. As well as Easybuy, the business’ brands include Max Fashion, Lifestyle, and Splash Fashions among others.
