Lakmé Fashion Week to hold model auditions for Summer/Resort 2019 edition
Lakmé Fashion Week will hold its model auditions for the upcoming Summer/Resort 2019 edition on Dec.14.
Lakmé Fashion Week will hold its upcoming model auditions at the St. Regis Hotel in Mumbai. The auditions will be for female models who will be judged by a panel of industry professionals including model and actor Malaika Arora, designers Shantanu and Nikhil, the vice-president and head of fashion at IMG Reliance Jaspreet Chandok, head of innovations at Lakmé Ashwath Swaminathan, and the show’s director Anu Ahuja.
“Lakmé Fashion Week model auditions has been a launch platform for new talent for many years now,” said Lakmé’s head of innovations, Ashwath Swaminathan. “Some of the talent have gone on to become recognised faces in the industry. I look forward to the upcoming SR 19 edition where new talent spotted in these auditions will sport the latest trends in beauty and fashion at Lakmé Fashion Week.”
The fashion week is credited with launching the careers of a number models including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Anjali Lama, Bhumika Arora, Pooja Mor, and Kiara Advani.
The upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week, Summer/Resort 2019, will commence on Jan. 30 and run until Feb. 3. The event will run at the JioGarden at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
