The upcoming summer/ resort edition of Lakme Fashion Week, scheduled for February 2020, will feature a showcase of the best up-and-coming student designers from the INIFD’s campuses across India. Chosen fashion and interior design students will have the chance to kick-start their careers by showcasing collections to an established audience at the event in Mumbai, Lakme Fashion Week announced on Facebook.

The initiative held its first event in Mumbai on December 10 and INIFD students presented their work with the hopes of being selected for the fashion week. The event also featured a number of panel discussions and workshops by fashion and interior designers and celebrities as part of The Design Festival Season 3.

Upcoming scouting event will take place in New Delhi West on December 12, Bengaluru on December 16, Bhubaneswar on December 18, and Bhopal on December 19.

Lakme Fashion Week held its first ever edition in 1999 and takes place bi-annually in Mumbai. The five-day fashion week is also sponsored by IMG Reliance and Nexa and dates for its upcoming season will be released shortly.
