Lakmé Fashion Week exhibits showroom designers

Lakmé Fashion Week, which will officially begin tomorrow on January 31, has unveiled its showroom designers for this season.

Mumbai’s Lakmé Fashion Week will run from January 31 to February 4 for this season’s summer/resort collections. As part of the fashion week, there are a host of “showroom designers” who will have their collections displayed throughout the week. The event’s official social media sites have announced the designers and there is a mix of apparel and accessory brands that will be featured this season.

Some of the designers that will be featured include the footwear brand Toramally who make luxury leather shoes, jewellery designer Varnika Arora who will show a collection of modern jewellery called “Amber”, and Mira by Radhika Jain, a jewellery label that will present their “Adi Shakti” collection inspired by female empowerment.

As for clothing, AD Singh will present bridal wear, Rishi & Soujit will showcase modern tailoring, and Nallamz will show traditional wear. Purvi Kabra will feature casual silhouettes, Brij by Brijlata Gupta will show traditional and fusion wear, and Shuchi VC will show bold, fusion shapes. Brands O Layla, Osaa by Adarsh, and Sonia Tara will also feature among others.

As Lakmé Fashion Week will kick off officially tomorrow, photos from fittings and lat minute preparations are currently flooding the event’s social media sites. The event’s Facebook page alone has over one million likes and this is one of the most digitally broadcast fashion events of the year.
