Lakme Fashion Week collaborates with DPA for latest ‘The Real Cut’

Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) has collaborated with the Diamond Producers Association (DPA) for the third edition of ‘The Real Cut’.

The contest will be open to diamond jewellery designers from leading jewellery brands from across India. Winners of the contest will get an opportunity to showcase at the upcoming edition of the Lakme Fashion Week 2020 Summer/Resort.
 
Winners will be chosen by an eminent jury panel, which will evaluate the designers on parameters ranging from quality, innovation and marketability, to originality and ability to take their business to the next level.

Commenting on the initiative, Richa Singh, managing director, India at DPA in a statement said: “We are extremely delighted to announce this partnership growing with the third season of ‘The Real Cut’. This is an initiative by the diamond industry that primarily focuses on showcasing the progressive collection of the emerging jewellery design talent on the country’s biggest ramp.
 
Jaspreet Chandok, vice-president and head of lifestyle at IMG Reliance added: “We are thrilled with the association as it opens the doors for the entire diamond jewellery design community to interface with the Lakmé Fashion Week. It also provides young talent in an allied industry the leverage of the premier fashion event in the country and we hope some of our discoveries make a major mark in the industry going forward.”
 
The registrations for the next The Real Cut are currently underway on the LFW’s website and will be open till January 5, 2020.
