Lacoste and MF Brands have appointed a new strategic recruit. Thierry Guibert, head of the group that owns Lacoste, Aigle, Gant, Technifibre and The Kooples, named Gilles Lebret executive vice president in charge of technology, data, and transformation.

The manager, joining the Lacoste executive committee, will work with the French fashion giant as well as all the other brands of the group. Before joining the Swiss MF Brands Group, 48-year-old Lebret worked for Tarkett, one of the world's leading flooring companies specializing in sporting fields.

Lebret held various senior positions, including in data and logistics, at Tarkett for over 13 years and was most recently director of operations for Europe Middle East Africa. The executive, a graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris, built his expertise in information technology and supply chain in consumer goods companies such as Henkel, Cadbury, Schweppes and Orangina.

"His solid experience in the transformation and management of large-scale projects, his in-depth knowledge of back offices and the supply chain, as well as the deployment of ERP systems, will be important assets in his new role," explained Guibert in a press release.

The newcomer's task will be to "support the long-term transformation strategy by providing Lacoste and the MF Brands Group with the necessary driving forces and technological tools, placing its expertise at the disposal of the organization's digitalization and agility."
