Label Deeya presented a whimsical, feminine take on ethnic and fusion wear at its runway show during Bangalore Fashion Week. The womenswear brand’s latest collection was titled ‘Sukshma’ and featured delicate looks for festivals and weddings.

As models walked the runway in Bengaluru to showcase Sukshma, images of an ethereal destination wedding or party sprang to mind. The whimsical collection’s main textile was organic chanderi, fabricated using a weaving technique that has endured in India for centuries. The brand chose this fabric for its sustainable production process and its heritage credentials.

The collection had white as its main colour with yellow and magenta accents to add a youthful feel. Where some looks followed traditional silhouettes, others took a more fusion approach and gave a nod to the British regency dresses popularised by recent television series such as Bridgerton.

“Our Brand Label Deeya focuses on sustainable outfits and believes in slow fashion,” said a Label Deeya spokesperson in an exclusive communication with FashionNetwork.com. “Our collection is sustainable, understated yet glamorous. As a brand we believe in making garments which are made of high quality fabrics, intricate handmade embroidery and thoughtful detailing.”

Label Deeya retails using Whatsapp, according to its Instagram page. The brand specialises in feminine fusion wear and uses ruffles, florals, and organic fabrics.
