L’Oréal India appoints Pankaj Sharma as director, consumer products division

​L’Oréal India has appointed Pankaj Sharma as director for its consumer products division, which includes popular brands like L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York, and NYX Professional Make Up.

Sharma will take over from Aseem Kaushik, who has moved to Hong Kong to head the professional products division for L’Oréal in the Asia-Pacific region. In his new role, Sharma will focus on building brand salience and driving consumer engagement while expanding L’Oréal’s footprint in India through new growth drivers like e-commerce.
 
Commenting on the appointment, Amit Jain managing director at L’Oréal India in a statement, "I am delighted to welcome Pankaj as director, consumer products division in India. Pankaj’s international experience combined with his commercial and marketing expertise will help accelerate L’Oréal India’s transformation into a Beauty Tech company while reinforcing our positioning as India’s beauty advisor."

“The appointment of Aseem as the head of our professional products division across the Asia-Pacific region is testimony to India’s unique position as a talent hub for L’Oréal globally. Aseem has made a stellar contribution to the growth of our business in India and we wish him great success in his new assignment,” Jain added.
 
Pankaj Sharma has been with L’Oréal India for over 15 years and previously headed the Garnier and Maybelline New York brands, working across sales and marketing functions.
