L'Oreal invests in DSG Consumer Partners to help consumer brands in India

French cosmetic giant L'Oreal has invested an undisclosed amount in DSG Consumer Partners IV to fuel the growth of consumer brand startups across Southeast Asia and India.

The investment was made through L'Oreal's corporate venture capital fund BOLD (Business Opportunities for L'Oreal Development).

With this investment, L'Oreal aims to help early-stage entrepreneurs build strong consumer businesses across the beauty value chain.

Commenting on the investment, Vismay Sharma, president of L'Oreal South Asia Pacific in a statement said, “The future of consumer brands will largely be shaped in these markets. So, it's important to build a strong connection to its dynamic ecosystem of disruptors and invest in promising consumer brand startups. Through this investment in DSG Consumer Partners, we hope to unlock the full potential of entrepreneurs and innovation across this fast-growing region.”

Deepak Shahdadpuri, managing director of DSG Consumer Partners added, “Through this fund, we aim to catalyse emerging market consumer innovation by working with entrepreneurs who are addressing new consumer aspirations and needs.”

BOLD is a corporate venture capital fund from L'Oreal that invests in startups and provides them with expertise, networking, and mentorship to scale their business.
