Didier Drouet, the former CEO of Emilio Pucci (LVMH), is now CEO of British contemporary luxury brand L.K. Bennett. He replaces the brand's owner and chief executive of L.K. Bennett, French businessman Robert Bensoussan, who took over in the interim after the departure of Margaret McDonald in 2010. Bensoussan is the co-founder of the investment company Syrius Equity, which purchased L.K. Bennett in 2008. He will now resume his duties as chairman of the brand's board of directors.

Regarding his new chief, Bensoussan said: "Drouet has a wealth of international experience in the fields of fashion, accessories and luxury, which will help to strengthen the growth of L.K. Bennett and capitalize on the many opportunities that we have to develop the business both in the UK and internationally."
Didier Drouet is also French and was educated at the Paris Institute of Political Studies before going to work for major companies such as L'Oréal, Richemont and LVMH. He said he was "excited to join the L.K. Bennett team and looks forward to building on the foundations in place to further develop the brand globally."

L.K. Bennett sales are handled exclusively through their own points of sale, with 156 stores worldwide, 107 of which are located in the United Kingdom. The company and its support fund raised some 16 million pounds through an investment bank in spring 2012 (approximately 20 million euros). Robert Bensoussan intends to use the money for the brand's development on the North American market.
