Kunal Avanti, Sunny Leone team up to launch athleisure label ‘I Am Animal’

Activist-entrepreneur Kunal Avanti has partnered with actor investor Sunny Leone to launch a new organic athleisure label ‘I Am Animal’.
 

The label has launched its first collection in collaboration with students from the internationally renowned design school Istituto Marangoni titled ‘Collection Zero’ that consists of t-shirts, hoodies, tanks, and joggers.
 
I Am Animal claims that it uses 100 percent Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified organic fabrics for its clothing line and plans to support around 16,000 farmers through its certified fair-trade production tie-ups.

Commenting on the launch, Kunal Avanti, founder of I Am Animal, in a statement said: “I Am Animal is nothing short of a dream. A passion project and a labour of love that has transcended geographical boundaries to find partners who share our vision and beliefs and translate that into the brand. I Am Animal is an extension of all that I believe in, a sustainable solution that channels the value systems of the generation of today and gives it a fashion-forward look.”
 
On her association with I Am Animal, Sunny Leone added: “With I Am Animal, we’re re-examining fashion as we know it, challenging the norm and offering a new way of living. I Am Animal was born out of a shared vision, a need to do and be better and create a more sustainable future going forward.”
 
Collection Zero by I Am Animal is priced between Rs 975 ($13) to 2499 and is currently available on their website. It will soon be launched on other leading e-commerce websites like Myntra and others next month.
