Kukoon launches new product line Kukoon Trends

The womenswear brand Kukoon has launched a new product line named Kukoon Trends with its first collection, “Iridescence”. The new line aims to bring the luxury brand to a high street market.

In a move to widen the demographic of its customer base and enter the high-street market, Kukoon has launched a new line of ready-to-wear separates priced lower than its main line. The Trends line retails from Rs 4,500 ($65.40) which is a much cheaper price point than its main line clothing which starts at Rs 9,800. 

Trends’ first collection, Iridescence, is inspired by the botanical world as well as hummingbirds and butterflies which feature as striking prints and appliqués on dress shirts. Androgynous tailoring is contrasted with highly feminine florals and abstract art-inspired collages also feature along with chain detailing.  

“The raging high street phenomenon is something that cannot be ignored and Trends as a line has been curated in a manner that ensures exclusivity in each piece, be it in the shape, cut, form or the detailing,” read the brand’s press release. “Though it is a premium line it intends to give luxury to all and features exclusively curated shirts, trousers, tunics, co-ord sets, blazers in varying prints and designs.”

Kukoon was founded in 2014 by former marketing manager and fashion enthusiast Sneha Mehta. The brand retails internationally from its dedicated e-commerce store.
