Kshitij Jalori has launched new ready-to-wear print collection Kellee online to span from 2021 to 2022, the designer announced on Facebook. The line reimagines the nature-inspired art of Ellsworth Kelly and silhouettes are designed more for relaxed events and staying at home as opposed to the designer’s signature occasion wear.

Custom prints feature silhouettes of tropical marigolds, hydrangeas, anthuriums, and birds including toucans and hornbills. With a colour palette of reds, magentas, whites, and oranges, Kellee brings a optimistic splash of colour and a new direction for the brand which is at once whimsical and steeped in art history.

“This collection whisks you off and transports you to a tropical reverie, with touches of Kelly’s classic colour-blocking,” the brand announced on Facebook. “With the prints being named as ‘RGB’, ‘HSB’, and ‘CMYK’, the collection is a homage to the artist, and his interpretation of nature.”

The brand’s new logo adds the name ‘Ajmer’ beneath the designer’s name to signify where the brand’s aesthetics originate, as brand founder and designer Jalori is originally from the city of Ajmer.

“Adding the name ‘Ajmer’ to the logo to provide a significance and pay tribute to my origin and the part the city has played in shaping my vision as well as making me the person I am today,” Jalori announced on Facebook.
