Kriti Sanon to be Tarun Tahiliani showstopper at Lakme Fashion Week

Bollywood will make its presence felt at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2018 edition as another actress Kriti Sanon has been announced as the showstopper this time by ace couturier Tarun Tahiliani.
 

Earlier, it was confirmed that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vaani Kapoor will be the walking for designers Anamika Khanna and Neha Agarwal respectively.
 
Tarun Tahiliani will be showcasing an avant-garde collection at the event with Kriti walking the ramp in the showstopper outfit. The designer’s spring/summer collection will highlight traditionalism in tone with the essence of the brand.

The designer interestingly decided to freeze Kriti as her showstopper after watching the Bollywood flick 'Bareilly ki Barfi’.
 
Commenting on his choice of showstopper, Tahiliani in a statement said, "It is time for some wonderful freshness in the fashion, glamour space. Beautiful, poised and the ability to play a small town Bareilly girl in drab salwar-kameez and yet be so incredibly full of spirit and life that you can't keep your eyes off her, that is what star power is and at that moment I decided the new girl for Tarun Tahiliani is Kriti Sanon.
 
"She is the appropriate fit for the new modern youthfulness and trans-India cool that she played in the movie, so we are very excited to have her on the Lakme Fashion Week show," he added.
 
Tarun’s new collection has been inspired by spatial elements like the Milky Way, stars, constellations that include pieces that have been handcrafted to display fantasy, florals and stars weightlessly layered.
