Kriti Sanon is the new face of Bata in India

Footwear major Bata has signed Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon as its brand ambassador for the Indian market. The actress will endorse Bata’s popular brands in the country which includes the newly launched Bata red label fashion collection.
Bata is betting big on India as it expects the country to be the company’s top market in terms of revenue in the coming years.
Currently, Italy is the top market for the Bata Shoe Organisation, however rapid physical expansion coupled with digital push is expected to make India the most important market for the firm. Kriti’s association with the brand is also expected to enhance the visibility of the brand pan India.
“Bata is an iconic brand, and I have been a big fan of Bata shoes since early childhood. So, I was delighted when Bata approached me to be the face of their brand. It’s amazing to see the new fashion-forward avatar of Bata and I am excited about creating something special together. At heart, I am a Bata girl, who subscribes to the brand motto Me & Comfortable with it” Kriti Sanon said in a statement, on her association with Bata.

Bata India is the largest footwear retailer in India and retails in over 1,290 Bata stores, on bata.in and in thousands of multi-brand footwear dealer stores pan-India. It had reported net profit to Rs 38 crore (approx $ 6 million) for the third quarter ended December 31 with revenue of Rs 640 crore (approx $ 98.4 million).
