Kleenex expands to skin care with facial cleansing products

Kleenex - in conjunction with Kimberly-Clark Corp. – is joining the women’s skin care sector with a suite of facial cleansing products: exfoliating cushions, moist facial cleansing wipes, cotton soft pads, moist eye makeup removers and shine-away sheets ranging from $4.99 to $7.99.

The new products feature innovative fabric technology and pro-vitamin complexes. Eniko Olah, Kleenex senior brand manager, said of the new line, “Kleenex has a strong heritage in making high-quality tissue fabrics, and we are extending that knowledge into new innovations in fabric technology that will make facial cleansing effective.” For now, the company plans to sell the products online beginning in early to mid 2016 and will leverage social media and other digital platforms to market the line.

Established in 1924, Kleenex Brand is a go-to for tissues. Through strategic marketing and packaging, Kleenex has become a household staple in 150 countries. Kleenex is owned and managed by the Kimberly-Clark Corporation.

Kimberly-Clark Corp. – established in 1870 in Wisconsin - owns and manages the Kleenex, Scott, Kotex, Huggies, Pull-Ups and Depend companies. Kimberly-Clark employs 42,500 individuals in its manufacturing facilities across 37 countries. In 2014, the company reported $19.7 billion in sales.
