Kiran Gems received awards for its exports in the 2017 and 2018 financial years at an event on February 14, the Gem and Jewellery Export promotion council announced on its website. The business was given the awards by Union Government Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Nitin Gadkari, and Rajya Sabha member, Suresh Prabhu.

The business was the only one to receive the award in the ‘Five Star Export House’ category, it announced on Facebook. Earlier in February, Kiran Gems also received an award for the “highest turnover of cut and polished diamonds” for the 12th consecutive year from the GJEPC.

“We firmly believe that winning an award will always have incredible benefits holistically,” said Kiran Gems’ director Dinesh Lakhani, according to the GJEPC. “It gives a lift to the employees’ self-esteem and makes them feel part of something larger and very successful.”

Kiran Gems was founded in Mumbai in 1985. The business describes itself as the “world’s largest manufacturer of polished diamonds,” on its Facebook page.
