Khazana Jewellery donates Rs 4 crore to Tamil Nadu CM’s public relief fund

Khazana Jewellery has contributed Rs 4 crore ($546,582) to the Tamil Nadu chief minister’s public relief fund to help the government combat the disruptions caused by the second wave of Covid-19.

The company chairman Kishore Kumar Jain handed over the cheque of Rs 4 crore to the recently elected chief minister of the state M K Stalin.
 
The funds will be used towards buying necessary healthcare equipment and catering to the needs of the underprivileged and more.

Commenting on the donation, Jain in a statement said: “The gravity of the situation demands a holistic and timely response. This includes financial and material support, healthcare assistance, and community support. We are in this together, and we shall overcome.”
 
Khazana Jewellery has recently signed actor Rashmika Mandanna as its brand ambassador and expects strong sales in the coming months despite the disruptions caused by the second wave of coronavirus.
