Women’s ethnic wear brand Khara Kapas will hold a pop-up shopping event in Mumbai from December 9 to 10. The brand will also travel to Bengaluru for a showcase from December 20 to 21 to promote its latest collection.
Khara Kapas will set up shop in Coomaraswamy Hall, Mumbai, on Monday for a two-day pop-up shop, the brand announced on Facebook. The event will see the brand present its autumn/ winter womenswear collection to the city’s shoppers with the aim of widening its customer base in the area.
Later in the month, the brand will travel to Bengaluru with its latest collection for a two-day joint pop-up at the multi-brand womenswear boutique Raintree. Accessories and jewellery brand Ziba by Hand will also take part in the pop-up shopping festival. The brand will retail its recent collaborative collection with Ziddi which features upcycled vintage ethnic jewellery paired with brightly coloured threads and quirky details.
On November 24, the brand held a pop-up in New Delhi at the American Embassy School as part of the AWA Mela. Khara Kapas showcased its autumn/winter collection at the business to customer event with a selection of loose-fit dresses and tunics.
Khara Kapas, which means “pure cotton” in Hindi, uses textiles sourced from across India and aims to showcase rural India’s diverse heritage crafts. The brand creates hand-crafted garments with free sizing and a Bohemian aesthetic.
