Khadim India posts Q4 net profit of Rs 4 crore

Footwear major Khadim India Ltd witnessed a 61 percent rise in net profit to Rs 4 crore ($4,82,884) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against net profit of Rs 2.5 crore in the year-ago period.

The company’s total revenue for the quarter rose by two percent to Rs 159 crore, as against Rs 156 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Commenting on the results, lndrajit Chaudhuri, chief financial officer at Khadim lndia Ltd in a statement said, “The Company has focused on expanding the reach, digital penetration, portfolio augmentation and customer focussed integrated communication approach. The cumulative approach has resulted in significant increase of sales across retail with contribution from e-commerce vertical.”

“With the focus on product improvisation, expansion through all channels and enhancement of customer service through omnichannel approach, Khadim is well poised for the years to come,” he added.
During the financial year, the company opened 91 new stores in tier 2, 3 markets across India.

The Kolkata-based Khadim India Ltd is the second largest footwear retailer in lndia in terms of exclusive stores. It currently has 846 retail stores, and the distribution vertical has a strong network of 700 distributors.
