Kewal Kiran aims for revenue of Rs 1,000 crore, to add 150 stores in 5 years

​Branded apparel retailer, Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited, is betting big on the Indian market and has set a revenue target of over Rs 1,000 crore ($143.5 million) in the next five years. The company had posted revenue of Rs 460 crore in the financial year 2018.

The company expects majority of its revenue to come from its private labels like Killer, Integriti, LawmanPg3, Easies in the men’s category. It expects its menswear business to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark over the next five years.
 
To meet its sales target, the company will be adding over 150 stores across the country in the next five years and also foray into the kidswear segment.

Kewal Kiran Clothing currently has 336 retail stores 210 cities across 25 States. The Mumbai-based company also sells on leading e-commerce platforms in India which contribute 5 percent to its overall sales.
 
“In the next five years, we expect revenue from our men's wear business to be Rs 800-1,000 crore while our women’s wear brand Desi Belle should have revenue of Rs 200 crore," the company's chief financial officer Bhavin Sheth told PTI.
 
"We believe the Indian market is untapped and there is a lot of potential available. Now we are looking at some of the brands to get into the kidswear segment," he added.
