Kewal Kiran Clothing Q4 net profit drops 22 percent to Rs 16 crore

Apparel and denim maker, Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd reported a 22 percent decline in its net profit at Rs 16 crore ($2.2 million) in the quarter ended March 2020, as against Rs 20 crore it posted in the year-ago period.

The company’s sales declined 5 percent to Rs 127 crore for the quarter under review, as against Rs 133 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the quarter was down 26 percent at Rs 25 crore, from Rs 34 crore it had reported in March 2019.

For the financial year 2019-20, Kewal Kiran’s net profit declined 9 percent to Rs 73 crore as against Rs 80 crore during the previous year while its sales rose 5 percent to Rs 530 crore as against Rs 503 crore during the previous year.
 
Kewal Kiran owns brands like Killer, Integriti, LawmanPg3, Easies, and Desi Belle. The company currently has 336 retail stores 210 cities across 25 states and also sells on leading e-commerce platforms in India.
