Kewal Kiran Clothing Q2 net profit rises 195 percent to Rs 27 crore

Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd witnessed a 195 percent surge in its net profit to Rs 27 crore ($3.7 million) for the second quarter ended September 2021, as against a net profit of Rs 9 crore it reported in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 159 percent to Rs 175 crore, as against Rs 67 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
For the first half of the current fiscal year, Kewal Kiran’s revenue stood at Rs 276 crore while its net profit during the April-September period was Rs 36 crore.

Kewal Kiran owns brands like Killer, Integriti, LawmanPg3, Easies, and Desi Belle. The company currently has 336 retail stores in 210 cities across 25 states and sells on leading e-commerce platforms in India.
 
The company is looking to strengthen its retail presence in the Indian market to take its store count to 500 over the next two years.
