Kelly Klein publishes ‘Photographs’ fashion photography book
Photographer and former fashion designer, Kelly Klein has released a new book with Rizzoli called ‘Photographs by Kelly Klein’.
‘Photographs’ is a selection of Klein's professional and personal photographs from her career including still life photographs, portraits, candid shots and landscapes. Following design stints at Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, Kelly turned to photography and eventually worked with a number of the top publications, including several iterations of Vogue, Italian Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Harpers Bazaar and Interview, and shot advertising campaigns for Bacara Hotel, Park Hyatt Hotel and Sam Edelman shoes.
The book features a number of famous faces in fashion, pop culture and politics, such as Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Iman, Gisele Bundchen, John F. Kennedy Jr. and Fran Lebowitz. ‘Photographs’ is very much a retrospective of Klein’s storied fashion photography career and a trip down memory lane for the photographer. In between her editorial work, readers will see a behind-the-scenes look at the first ever Calvin Klein underwear campaign, backstage at a Calvin Klein runway show, and an eventful Halloween party hosted by Naomi Campbell.
Klein's other works include Pools, Underworld, Cross, Emotion and Horse. The book is available now on the Rizzoli website.
