Kaya Ltd posts Q2 net loss of Rs 5 crore

Skin and hair care brand Kaya Ltd posted a net loss of Rs 5 crore ($668,065) for the second quarter ended September 2021, as against a net loss of Rs 4 crore it reported in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 13 percent to Rs 83 crore, as against Rs 74 crore it reported it the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
Kaya’s India business reported revenue growth of 30 percent during the quarter while its International business grew by 2 percent as compared to Q2 of the previous fiscal year.

During the quarter, Kaya Limited appointed Rajiv Suri as its global CEO. The company expects to recover in the coming quarters on the back of a strong festive season coupled lifting of Covid-19 related restrictions across the world.
 
Kaya retails its range of skincare products on its dedicated website as well as with multi-brand retailers including Nykaa, among many others. The brand’s products are designed to offer solutions for hair removal, acne, and skin ageing, among other issues. It currently has 72 clinics in India and the Middle East.
