Kaveri and Mohammed Mazhar to feature in joint showcase at Lakmé Fashion Week

Womenswear brands Kaveri and Mohammed Mazhar will showcase their summer/resort 2020 collections on the runway, February 15, at Lakmé Fashion Week’s upcoming 20th anniversary edition.

 
Designer Kaveri Lalchand will present a collection highlighting her signature relaxed take on femininity, using 100% linen textiles at the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week, the event announced on Facebook.

Kaveri’s colour palette for its summer/resort collection will mix spring-themed hues of white and yellow with bright splashes of red. Whimsical pom-pom trims and delicate embroidery will make for a fun yet elegant aesthetic.

Kaveri recently opened its second store in Chennai on KNK Road in January. The brand also teamed up with Theory on January 6 and held a pop-up store at The Highway Closet in Surat, launching its festive collection in the city.

 
Mohammed Mazhar’s eponymous brand is also known for its relaxed silhouettes and understated, quirky style. This season, the brand will focus on neutral tones with stripes and polka dots to add dimension. Floaty textiles and modest drapes promise a wearable, yet conceptual collection.
 
Lakmé Fashion Week will run from February 12 to 16 at JioWorld Garden in Mumbai. The fashion week will also feature a Sustainable Fashion Day on February 13, as well as up-and-coming designer showcases and a jewellery initiative.
