Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra to be brand ambassadors for Metro Shoes
The Indian footwear retailer, Metro Shoes, has just appointed Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra as brand ambassadors and has earmarked around 25 crore rupees (approximately 3.8 million dollars) for the upcoming campaign.
The Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra are known for their youthful and stylish appeal and the brand is employing them to give the footwear brand a more fashion forward image. Farah Malik, the CEO and Managing Director of Metro Shoes, said about the upcoming campaign: “We are delighted to have Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra representing Metro Shoes. They are the perfect embodiment of what we stand for- distinctive style with a confident and a sparkling personality.”
The first advertising campaign featuring the two celebrities will be launched on September 28 in time for the holiday season. The advertising campaigns will comprise a mixture of print media, digital, and outdoor campaigns featuring the two. The brand is making a huge investment for their latest campaign and they have budgeted for around 25 crore rupees (approximately 3.8 million dollars) to cover both their endorsements and the cost of the advertising itself.
Metro shoes is based in Mumbai and has over 150 retail hubs across India. Along with brick and mortar stores, the brand has its own e-commerce store and is positioned in the affordable section of the market. The brand sells varieties of shoes ranging from men’s workwear shoes to ethnic mojaris and slip-ons.
