Kareena Kapoor Khan closes Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan brought the curtains down on the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019 walking for designer duo Gauri & Nainika as the showstopper on August 25 in Mumbai.
 

Khan, who is also the brand ambassador of the beauty brand Lakme, walked the ramp in a black ensemble from the designer’s ‘freedom of expression’ collection.
 
Commenting on the show, Kareena Kapoor Khan in a statement said, “Walking each season again feels very special. Thanks to Lakme I’m getting a chance to strut for the best of the best. This feels more special because of Gauri and Nainika. We embody the power of women. The freedom of what women want, whether it’s (about) being married, wanting to work, wanting to make your voice heard.”

Designer Manish Malhotra had opened the fashion week with Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif walking the ramp for his ‘Maahrumysha' collection as the showstopper.
 
The five-day fashion event saw participation from leading fashion designers, along with new talent from across the country. It also included conversations around innovation, creativity, circular fashion, cutting edge design, and more.
