The business currently has an annual run rate of Rs 120 crore and, planning to also grow its India operations, aims for its entire business to be a Rs 500 crore entity in the coming three years, ET Bureau reported.

“We are certain that Ayurveda is next in the line with this expansion, as we solve for the biggest roadblocks in the way- accessibility and convenience,” said Kapiva’s founder Ameve Sharma in a statement, the Economic Times reported.

“With our modern and new-age offerings, we aim to introduce modern Ayurveda to every household in the UAE and the U.S. to improve their daily wellness quotient. With this expansion, we aim to expand our consumer base by half a million consumers.”

Kapiva has conducted its own market research which showed that there exists a growing interest in Ayurvedic products in the U.S. This trend is in line with the wider trends for health awareness and clean beauty and nutrition which were accelerated by the pandemic in the U.S. and India. This is one of the reasons that the U.S. has been identified as a key market for the brand.

The UAE has also become an area of focus for the brand due to the large numbers of Indian and South Asian expats in the area which it believes will be open to Ayurvedic products. The brand’s India business is primarily online with 85% of its sales coming from e-commerce. The brand aims to continue to expand in India by launching driving tech-enabled customised offerings for its customers.
