Kanika Goyal launches new website and e-commerce store

Designer Kanika Goyal has launched a new website and e-commerce store, to expand distribution for her womenswear and accessories brand.

 
Kanika Goyal announced the launch of its new e-commerce store on her brand’s Facebook page on August 23. The brand had run an e-commerce store from 2015 to 2017, and was inspired to go back online, due to India’s evolving retail landscape in a post-lockdown economy. 
 
The e-commerce store launched with Goyal’s spring/summer 2020 collection, autumn/winter 2019 collection, and accessories line. A ‘Must-Haves’ section features a range of denim garments and the ‘Accessories’ section features Goyal’s new line of face masks, which feature tongue-in-cheek slogans and whimsical illustrations.

“Having a website is super helpful during such times as we are able to stay connected to our customers and get direct sales,” designer and brand founder, Kanika Goyal, told Vogue India, about her decision to go back online after a three year hiatus.

The pan-India lockdown and ongoing coronavirus pandemic have resulted in many fashion and beauty brands embracing online retail as, especially while regional lockdowns continue, it allows businesses to keep revenue flowing even if stores remain closed. 
 
Kanika Goyal launched her eponymous brand after graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in New Delhi. Goyal has collaborated with Adidas Originals, Smartwater, Simba Beer, and Absolut and shown collections at Lakmé Fashion Week and India Fashion Week.
