Kalyan Jewellers to offer Rs 100 crore worth discounts in Tamil Nadu

Leading jewellery firm Kalyan Jewellers has announced offers and discounts worth Rs 100 crore ($13.3 million) as part of its Puthandu celebrations in the state of Tamil Nadu.
 

Puthandu marks the beginning of the New Year in Tamil Nadu, and as part of its offer, Kalyan will offer unconditional gold vouchers coupled with discounts on gold, and diamond jewellery.
 
With the offers, Kalyan Jewellers is expecting strong sales across its showrooms in the state of Tamil Nadu as the festival is considered auspicious to buy gold.

Commenting on the festive offer, TS Kalyanaraman, chairman at Kalyan Jewellers, in a statement said: “The festival of Puthandu marks the beginning of the New Year in Kerala and is considered as a time of new beginnings. With the pandemic reducing the festive celebrations to intimate affairs last year, our aim is to enhance consumer experience and help them reap maximum benefits from their jewellery purchases with our unique Rs 100 crore giveaway offer clubbed with mega discounts.”
 
“Keeping the safety of our patrons and the larger community at priority, we are following stringent hygiene and precautionary measures across our showrooms; offering an unmatched retail experience and being part of the festive celebrations,” he added.
 
Kalyan Jewellers currently has 107 showrooms in India and 30 in the Middle East. The company had recently raised Rs 1,175 crore through an IPO.
