Kalyan Jewellers expands retail presence with store in Hyderabad

Kerala-based Kalyan Jewellers has strengthened its retail presence with the opening of its third showroom in the city of Hyderabad. It is the brand’s fourth store in the state of Telangana.
 

The store was inaugurated by Kalyan Jewellers' brand ambassador Akkineni Nagarjuna. The company is further looking to strengthen its retail presence as it sees huge potential in this region and has earmarked an investment of Rs 300 crore ($42 million) on its south India expansion.
 
Commenting on the store opening, chairman and managing director of Kalyan Jewellers T S Kalyanaraman in a statement said, “We had earlier announced our intention of investing Rs 300 crore in south India. Hyderabad is an important growth market for the brand and the state of Telangana has always shown tremendous potential.

“The investment in this region is part of our strategy to establish a stronger presence in this city and also make Kalyan Jewellers more accessible to our customers,” he added.
 
Kalyan Jewellers currently has 105 stores in India and 33 international stores. It plans to add 20 to 25 stores every year to take its store count to 250 by 2023 with a target revenue of Rs 25,000 crore.
