One of Paris Fashion Week's most loved Japanese luxury labels regaled avant-garde followers of fashion with a spectacular show in the Jardins des Tuileries on Friday.

With this third sequel to Issey Miyake's innovative 3D steam stretch technology featuring poetically picturesque "mountain and valley folds", the label offered a bevy of oversize chunky knits in lime green, magenta and cyan. The collection was a tribute to the power of color.

Voluminous cobalt coats and jackets in varying lengths featured an on-trend three-dimensional grid pattern, which seemed perfectly in sync with Fall's runway-wide love of textural looks.

Loose, draped masculine tailoring provided more grounded workwear options within this joyfully eccentrically-styled collection, designed ultimately for play, rather than work.

Folding patterns and shapes sought to mimic snow crystals while models gave colorful circular skirts inspired by the structure of a spiral sea shell a twirl.

The star accessory of the show were the fun and functional Chelsea boots, which came in slick black and navy leather with standout iridescent two-tone heels.
