Cindy Crawford's teenage daughter Kaia Gerber has landed a major fashion campaign as the star of Miu Miu's latest video.

The 14-year-old is the sole star of the Italian house's "Scenique" eyewear film, which sees her waking up in a desert oasis and plunging into a pool to salvage the sunglasses lying abandoned at the bottom.

The glasses in question are the brand's 'SMU 56R' lenses, hot off the Spring / Summer 2016 catwalk, which feature an oversized butterfly design, ultra-slim metal temples and a double bridge. They come from the Miu Miu Scenique special collection, which specializes in sinuous profiles, softly rounded lenses and slim metal elements.

Directed by Francesco Maria Tiribelli, the highly stylized clip focuses on the vibrantly colored details of summer days, with popsicles dripping in slow motion and airplanes moving lazily across the sky.

The clip cements Gerber's status as a fast-rising fashion star, a reputation she has been steadily building for some time. In February this year she was chosen to front the Spring/Summer 2016 campaign for the US high-end accessories line Chrome Hearts, while 2015 saw her appearing in Carine Roitfeld's prestigious CR Fashion Book and star in a shoot for the December issue of Teen Vogue.
