Jutexpo to bring together jute textile businesses in Kolkata in February

Trade show Jutexpo will bring together manufacturers and buyers of jute textiles and products in Kolkata from February 24 to 25 at the P C Chandra Garden to boost India’s jute industry and exports. 

Organised by the Jute Products Development and Export Promotion Council, the business-to-business event expects to showcase jute products by over 500 exhibiting businesses. The event describes itself as a, “one stop shop for sourcing quality jute products from India” and expects around 50,000 visitors over the course of the two-day event, according to its 10Times events page. 
 
The trade show will feature product categories including decorative fabrics, geotextiles, twines, gift bags, handicrafts, table runners, rugs, garden accessories, gift items, and garden accessories among others. Participating businesses will be able to forge connections to grow their distribution networks in India and abroad and will be able to monitor upcoming trends in the jute industry. 

Jutexpo expects strong participation from international buyers and has invited them to attend to find new products to import. The event will also enable businesses to plan future marketing strategies, it announced on Facebook. 
 
The Jute Products Development and Export Promotion Council has previously held buyer-seller meets in India and internationally to raise awareness jute products and promote Indian jute exports globally. The organisation travelled to the U.S. in 2019 to hold industry meets in New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas, it announced on Facebook.
