Just Herbs raises $1.5 million in funds

Ayurvedic luxury beauty brand Just Herbs owned by Chandigarh-based Apcos Naturals has raised $1.5 million (Rs 11 crore) in pre-series A funding led by Roots Ventures. A host of family offices, high net-worth individuals and corporate executives also participated in the funding round.

Just Herbs will use the funds to expand its product portfolio, boost distribution and acquisition of new customers as it looks to tap the fast-growing naturals, Ayurveda market in the country, which is currently estimated to be around Rs 18,500 crore ($2.6 billion).
 
Commenting on the fundraise, Arush Chopra, the co-founder and CEO of Just Herbs in a statement said: “This partnership will not only provide Just Herbs with the growth capital, but also align the brand’s vision to offer quality products to customers. We look forward to embarking on this exciting journey together for the next leg of our growth."

Japan Vyas, the founder of Roots Ventures added: “Conscious consumption is a very strong theme in beauty and Just Herbs with its sharp focus on product quality and customer engagement has all the right ingredients to become a leading player in this space.”
 
Just Herbs, which started as an online-only brand in 2013 had forayed into the brick and mortar space in 2017 and since then has been expanding its retail presence across India.
