JoJo Maman Bébé appoints retail veteran as new commercial director

UK maternity wear and baby clothing retailer JoJo Maman Bébé has announced the appointment of retail veteran Gwynn Milligan as commercial director.

Milligan is a seasoned retail expert and joins JoJo Maman Bébé from troubled Jaeger, where she served as group trading director for almost two years. Her CV also includes top roles such as managing director, trading director and commercial director at leading British retailers including JD Sports Fashion, Reiss, Cocosa, Asos and Arcadia.

She joins the business at a pivotal stage in its development as it moves from being a small to a large company. In the year to 30 June 2016, the upmarket baby clothing brand opened a subsidiary in the US and launched five stores in the UK.

It has now over 80 stores nationwide, a large distribution centre in Newport and a design and marketing office in Battersea, as well as its wholly owned US trade and B2C business in Edison, New Jersey.

The company has seen turnover grow at a rate of 46% over the past three years. EBITDA has grown by 25% in the period.
