Clothing brand Jodi has stepped into homewares and lifestyle with its new launch ‘Jodi Bazaar’. The brand’s new product line features handmade goods produced by artisans across India.
“This has been our dream for a long long time,” Jodi announced on Facebook. “Ever since we got together to form Jodi, we spoke about having a platform that brings to light the crafts and culture of our diverse country. It was always envisioned as a lifestyle, that’s why our name [is] The Jodi Life... Jodi Bazaar is finally here!”
The new Jodi Bazaar section of the brand’s e-commerce store features handmade items including perfume soaps, mugs, painted plates, clay utensils, teapots, wall hangings, and table decorations among other products.
“Our endeavour is to showcase the incredible beauty of indigenous processes that India is home to,” said the brand.
Jodi also launched a line of reusable non-surgical face masks in several designs made from fabric scraps from its spring/summer collection. The brand has distributed masks to rural workers across India, in collaboration with the Farm to Table relief fund. The brand also donated a portion of its recent profits to Delhi-based non-profit organisation Dastkar.
Jodi launched as an online womenswear brand in 2014. Last year, Jodi stepped into menswear with a range of fusion wear designs and also opened a flagship store in Pune.
