The collection not only marked the 15th anniversary of India Couture Week, it also marked the 30th anniversary of the JJ Valaya brand. The runway show took place at an offsite location and was also broadcast around the world with Jio TV, the event organiser the Fashion Design Council of India announced on Facebook.

JJ Valaya’s collection featured lehengas in hues ranging from ivory to rust to emerald green, each look more embellished than the last. The collection also featured a wide array of bridal lehengas in shades of red and burgundy. Notable looks included lehengas with ombre skirts, graphic patterns, and striking black ensembles.

Sarees were synched at the waist with JJ Valaya’s signature logo belts in golds and browns and the same was found accessorising men’s longline kurtas in complimentary hues. Other accessories included red floral headpieces, diamanté face gems, and vintage style netting. Models were also adorned with jewellery by JJ Valaya Fine Jewellery crafted by Jagdish Jewellers Chandigarh with statement chokers, maang tikas, and bangles.

India Couture Week runs from July 22 to 31 at the Taj Palace in New Delhi along with at offsite locations. The fashion week features 13 couture brands from across India and will conclude on Sunday with a runway show by Anamika Khanna.
