Jigsaw announces two executive appointments

Following the announcement that Peter Ruis will be joining the company as CEO last week, British retailer Jigsaw is strengthening its senior management with the arrival of Richard Gilmore as chief operating officer in September.

Gilmore will look head operations, merchandising, trading and logistics at the brand. He joins with a wealth of experience gained at Next, Debenhams, River Island, John Lewis and Fred Perry, where he currently overseas the company’s global supply chain.

Gilmore said: “I am joining Jigsaw at a very exciting time for the brand. Logistical efficiencies, growth in e-commerce and improved merchandising are just some of the areas I will be focusing on.”

Charles Atterton, currently joint-CEO with John Robinson, commented: “The appointments of Peter and Richard are an investment in Jigsaw’s future. We are confident we have found the right executive leadership to take the company forward.”

Charles Atterton will become Jigsaw’s chairman while John Robinson will become chairman of Kewsaw Limited, the ultimate parent company of the group.
