Ahluwalia announced her foray into NFTs on December 7 on Facebook. “I have been working very hard on creating my Diamond Art NFTs over the past year,” said Ahluwalia, the GJEPC reported. “The NFT digital revolution has exploded, it’s like an artistic renaissance on a scale we have never seen before.”

Ahluwalia’s ‘Diamond-Verse’ NFTs are available as ‘ultra-rare’ editions with only one available and ‘limited edition’ editions of 10. NFTs are usually bought with cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and use blockchain technology to keep a record of transactions, allowing anyone to verify the NFTs.

“I have been involved in various blockchain related initiatives in the diamond and jewellery industry where it concerns provenance, finance, and authenticity solutions,” said diamond industry expert and founder of LuxuryFintech Erik A. Jens, who is collaborating on the project. “But this collaboration with Reena is truly exceptional. Reena’s passion for art and technology and her well-known creativity are now bundled into a unique experience for art and technology lovers.”

“My life’s work has been dedicated in telling powerful stories of diamonds and gemstones,” said Ahluwalia. “Now, the NFT digital space has given me a 3D immersive medium to express my artistic mind-scape and vision behind my diamond art. My art collectors and diamond industry investors can now own parts of my ‘Diamond-Verse’. As an artist, I am so excited to be living in this pivotal moment of digital change.”
