The CEO and Founder Director of Orra, Vijay Jain, recently told Indiaretailing Bureau: “Our preference is to first build company-owned showrooms and then go for franchisee stores. We will be opening 8-10 stores this fiscal year.” Jain also revealed that Mumbai, Delhi, and Punjab are the locations that the brand will focus on for the store openings.

Along with opening brick and mortar stores, Orra will also amp up its online strategy to embrace a more omni-channel approach, as many organised jewellers in India are currently doing. Jain stated: “Currently, online contributes approximately five percent to the overall revenue but I think it will jump dramatically because we are defining online not as product-centric place from where we only deliver, we are providing an experience where even if a consumer books the jewellery online, he/she can come to the store and pick it up.”

Aiming for a “360 degree omni-channel approach,” Jain is confident that increased sales will come from both offline and online channels this fiscal year.
