Jewellery brand Amama secures seed funding from She Capital

Designer jewellery brand Amama (means grandmother in Telugu language) has raised $250,000 (Rs 2 crore) in a seed funding round from She Capital.

The brand will utilise the funds to boost its digital presence, technology development, logistics, and operations side. Additionally, the brand also plans to diversify its product portfolio and expand within the Indian market.

Commenting on the investment, Anisha Singh, founder of She Capital, “We’ve known Nikita for a while now, and absolutely love what she is building and how she has gone about creating a cult following around Amama. We’re excited to be a part of Amama’s growth journey along with this determined entrepreneur.”

Nikita Gupta, founder of Amama added, “We are thrilled to have Anisha and She Capital on board supporting us as we continue to grow and evolve as a brand. This funding will allow us to bring our vision to life and create even more beautiful and meaningful pieces for our customers, whom we refer to as Amama lovers, worldwide.”

Amama, founded by Nikita Gupta, in 2018 is a designer and manufacturer of premium fashion jewellery for women. It sells its products through its website and social media.
