The Jewellers Association Jaipur has announced that it will hold business-to-business trade show ‘Jewellers Association Show’ from August 18 to 20 to help companies restart business as the second wave of Covid-19 subsides.

The Jewellers Association aims to kick start the jewellery industry and facilitate trade at its upcoming edition of the Jewellers Association Show next month, it announced in a statement. The trade show will take place at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sitapura and will feature between 100 and 125 prefabricated booths.

The event aims to bring together wholesalers, traders, manufacturers, and business-to-business exhibitors specialising in fine jewellery. The theme of the event will be ‘Connect to Source’.

The event will be held this August as the Jewellers Association sees it as a, “fortunate time for all traders as there have been no big jewellery fairs organised since the last one year in the world as well as in India,” the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported.

The jewellery industry in and around Jaipur has been severely affected by the second wave of Covid-19, said the Jewellers Association. As the city is a tourist destination, travel restrictions have significantly affected the local economy and luxury fine jewellery retailers, whose main clients come from overseas, have seen sales plummet, according to the organisation.
