Jeanologia unveils HDR laser system for textile making

Jeanologia has launched the High Dynamic Range (HDR) system, a new hyperbolic system of laser production in the textile industry. The Spanish company is the expert technology partner in China for production centres making ecological products.

The technology is supposed to guarantee the designers that “What you see is what you get,” since Jeanologia’s HDR system is designed to increase the contrast of the dynamic tones of the image for a level of depth closer to reality and, thereby achieving a more natural and 3D design. According to the company, the technology increases production capacity, reducing production time by up to 30 per cent.

Borja Trénor, director of the Asia Pacific division said, “Production costs in China are increasingly more expensive and the southeast Asiatic is becoming a tough competitor. Jeanologia’s technology creates the opportunity to change the industry model, traditionally based on cheap labour, and moves towards a model supported by technology that increases productivity and lowers costs. Chinese companies that want to survive the current juncture have to take a technological leap if they want to avoid relocation to countries where the workforce is cheaper and must base this transformation in four basic pillars: efficiency, innovation, speed and ecology.”

The company is showing the HDR system at the ongoing Kingpins China Tour, a denim sourcing show  being held from September 4 to 8, 2017.

Currently, 5 per cent of jean production in China has in its DNA Jeanologia technology, both for exportation of top brands such as GAP, H&M, Uniqlo, Levi’s, Primark, Lee, Wrangler or G-Star among others, as well as for national market brands like Jack&Jones China, MetersBonwe or PeaceBird.
