Janvhi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal walk for Reliance Trends showcase at Lakmé Fashion Week

Reliance Trends held a runway show featuring 31 Indian designers to kick off Lakmé Fashion Week on Tuesday, and Bollywood celebrities, Janvhi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, walked the ramp as showstoppers.

On February 11, Reliance Industries Limited’s subsidiary’ Reliance Trends celebrated 20 years of Lakmé Fashion Week with a multi-brand runway show, LFW announced on Facebook.

The event took place the day before the fashion week officially kicked of at JioWorld Garden in Mumbai on February 12. 

The runway show, which was aired live online, featured a backdrop of dramatic, nature-inspired visuals and began to the beat of traditional drums. Models then emerged on the runway wearing an array of some of the most influential and innovative Indian brands including Bodice, Doodlage, Dhruv Kapoor, Chola the Label, Sneha Arora Label, Masaba Gupta, Nikhil Thampi, Archana Rao, Swapnil Shinde, Péro, Rimzim Dadu, Anand Bhushan, and Rahul Mishra, among others.
 
The show concluded as Janvhi Kapoor walked the runway followed by Vicky Kaushal, both in outfits by designer Kunal Rawal. Kapoor wore a floor-length, embellished gown featuring a river and foliage at the skirt and cloudy sky on the bodice. Kaushal wore a tailored suit which presented a monochrome, modern take on traditional wear. 
 
Lakmé Fashion Week will run until February 16 in Mumbai. The fashion week will feature a Sustainable Fashion Day on February 13 and a finale with designer, Amit Aggarwal, on February 16.
